This fixture was initially an away fixture. The pitch at Kirkham was deemed to be unplayable due to the inclement weather. We attempted to get Moor Park ready, with the Kirkham team being very sporting in willing to travel to our home venue. A final pitch inspection at 1345 by Tom and Steve, and on advice from the ref the game was called off.

After speaking to Dave the Kirkham reds manager to inform him of the condition of the pitch, he stated he would forefeit the points, as there was unlikely to be another date available to play it this season, due to a fixture backlog.

This is a very sporting gesture from the Kirkham Reds, and on behalf of all the clarets players, coaches and parents we would like to thankyou for this decision and wish you the very best for the remainde rof the season.
