ETHOS FOR OUR CHILDREN (11/05/2009)

Layton Juniors FC are a relatively new football club at grass root level. We are predominately involved in training children within our 6 teams from the local area of Layton. However, every child matters to the club and all are considered for our teams. We are looking for motivated individuals who are keen to take on a coaching roles for Layton Juniors. The positions are open to anyone over the age of 18 (we also have a junior coaches' scheme for 14-18 year olds). Layton Juniors FC recieved the award for the FA Charter Standard and the club worked hard to achieve this award, but we could not have done this without the help and support of the managers, assistant managers, coaches, parent reps and parent helpers. Layton Juniors FC is now one of 13 clubs in the Fylde Coast area to achieve this award, and we can all feel proud that we achieved the Charter Standard. We currently have teams competing in the local leagues. Training generally takes place on a evening in the week agreed upon by the individual teams, match days being Saturdays for the Poulton and District League, and Sundays for the Under 11 team in the Blackpool Youth League. The club does have to charge subscriptions, but we are non-profit making organisation, and all monies are used in the club for equipment, strips, and general administration costs. When compared with other clubs in our area, our £11 monthly subscription is very cheap. Layton Juniors is a family club with a focus on fun in football, taking part and doing your best in all we attempt is we feel a better ethos than winning at all costs. With this focus on inclusion our children are focused on their football and enjoy the part of playing, training, and being part of a team environment, making new friends and being taught by FA qualified coaches. We have both boys and girls playing in teams across the club.
